Criminal case filed over military plane crash in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan, Astana, 26 Dec. /Trend, D. Mukhtarov / A criminal case has been filed over military plane crash that happened on Tuesday in Kazakhstan. Shymkent garrison military prosecutor filed a criminal case under Article 392 of the Kazakhstan's Criminal Code (Violation of the rules for flights or preparation for them), the press service of the Kazakh military prosecutor's office said. December 25 at 6:55 pm, an aircraft of the National Security Committee's Border Service flying from Astana crashed 20 kilometers from Shymkent Airport when approaching to the airfield. "On board the AN-72 aircraft were seven crew members, 20 servicemen, including acting Director of NSC BS Colonel Stambekov," National Security Committee said in a statement posted on its official website.
