"DAY OF CHINGIS KHAAN" TO BE CELEBRATED NATIONWIDE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Day of Chingis Khaan will be celebrated on the first day of the first winter month of every year by the Lunar Calendar. The law on marking the Chingis Khaan's Day was adopted at a plenary meeting of the parliamentary session on Thursday. Some 75 percent of 55 MPs voted for celebrating this day according to the Lunar calendar, which means that the birthday will fall on different days each year similar to the Lunar New year. In view of this decision, the MPs approved draft amendments to the laws on public cerebral days and on labour, then altered the #21 resolution of parliament on creating the Order of Chingis Khaan.
