DEPUTY SPEAKER YA.SANJMYATAV ADDRESSES IPU ASSEMBLY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On October 17, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Ya.Sanjmyatav, who heads the Parliamentary delegation of Mongolia, delivered a speech at a plenary session of the 137th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly under the theme 'Promoting Cultural Pluralism and Peace Through Inter-Faith and Inter-Ethnic Dialogue'. The Assembly is taking place on October 14-18 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. "It is crucial that religious and cultural figures pay constant attention to conduct dialogue for peace and tranquility. Involvement of scholars, civil society and international organizations including the IPU in it is significant to make people understand and aware about many pressing issues and broaden international effort to resolve humanitarian crisis,” he said. He also underlined the importance of conducting dialogue based on mutual understanding and cooperative principle to strengthen the community against attacks on behalf of religions and anti-cultural pluralism and support cultural and religious diversification.
