Development of bilateral relations with Georgia discussed in Canada

Georgia, Tbilisi, April 18 / Trend, N.Kirtzkhalia / Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze held meetings in Canada. Panjikidze met with her Canadian counterpart John Baird, speakers of both houses of the Parliament of Canada, and representatives of the local media, the Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend on Friday. "Canada supports Georgia in all important issues, such as the territorial integrity and sovereignty. Also, it supports the UN resolution on Georgia, which envisages the return of refugees," Panjikidze said. She said the result of the visit will be Canada's increasing interest in economic projects in Georgia. Strengthening of close partnerships with Canada and their gradual deepening is one of the priorities of Georgia, the Foreign Ministry said.
