Earthquake hits Turkish part of Aegean Sea

Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan.10 / Trend, A.Taghiyeva / An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale took place in the Turkish part of the Aegean Sea this morning, CNN Turk TV channel reported on Thursday. Turkey is located in a seismically active zone. The most powerful vibrations of the earth's crust in this country occurred in the Marmara Sea in 1999. The magnitude of the tremors was 7.4.
