Egyptian Foreign Ministry: Egyptian people will never forget UAE's historic stance

Cairo: The UAE's backing to the will of the Egyptian people is not unfamiliar, as the UAE always stood by Egypt in times of crisis, as it always did with other brotherly countries, the Spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Badr Abdul Ati, told WAM. He was commenting on the current visit to Egypt by Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The Egyptian official also emphasised that "the Egyptian people will never forget the UAE's historic stance and its full backing to the will of the Egyptian people." "Contacts between the UAE and Egypt are on-going," he added noting that the recent visit by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister to Egypt and his meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister, Nabil Fahmy, were important", Ambassador Abdul Ati added. He further noted that the said meeting which took place few weeks ago, bilateral relations and ways of deepening them in all spheres, trade in particular, were discussed. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
