Egyptian Prime Minister and Sultan Al Jaber discuss achievements of the UAE's support programme for Egypt

Cairo: Ibrahim Mahlab, Egyptian Prime Minister, and Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State, have reviewed progress achieved in the implementation of projects included in the Support for Egypt Development Programme which was signed in Abu Dhabi in October 2013. Under the terms of the agreement, the UAE offered US$4.9 billion to implement a number of development projects and utility sectors to improve living conditions for the Egyptian people. During the meeting, which was attended by Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the two sides discussed areas of future cooperation and joint investments. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber conveyed the greetings of the leadership and the people of the UAE to their brothers in Egypt, stressing the need to find a quick solution to strengthen the capacity of the Egyptian market to attract more capital. The Egyptian Prime Minister thanked the UAE for the great support given to the Egyptian people and their support for the Egyptian political and economic situation. He expressed Egypt's aspirations to strengthen the bonds of this constructive cooperation. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
