ELBEGDORJ SENDS MESSAGE TO UN ENVIRONMENT ASSEMBLY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj sent a message addressing the participants of the UN Environment Assembly. At a time when the entire humanity is caring to protect the environment and the mother earth and inherit them to our future generations way deeper than before the significance of policy and activities to be pursued by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) would be much broader, the message says. While preserving and protecting the pasture based animal husbandry, traditional cultural heritages and nomadic civilization in an effort to encouraging environmentally conducive socio-economic development the State and Government of Mongolia have recently adopted their “Green Development Policy” and joined into the Partnership For Green Economy (PAGE), the message went on. “This is a matter of utmost pleasure to note that we are looking forward to encourage and support every initiative for the sake of climate change and natural environment to be put forwarded by the United Nations Environment Assembly of the UNEP, which you all are providing leadership in the coming years”. At the end of the message, the President offers the participants and the UNEP‘s multifaceted activities greater success and well-being. The United Nations Environment Assembly convenes its first ever session on June 23-27 in Nairobi, Kenya.
