'Enemies want regional unrest to spread to Iran'

QOM, Nov. 24 (MNA) – Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi said that the enemies are seeking to cause the unrest engulfing the region to spread to Iran and other countries that have put up resistance against the Zionist regime. The enemies are attempting to provoke unrest in the country through reviving the seditious movement, Moslehi stated during a meeting with a number of preachers in the holy city of Qom on Wednesday. He also said that the enemies want to use the March parliamentary elections to deal a blow to the Islamic Revolution. Elsewhere in his remarks, Moslehi stated that the enemies are seeking to compel the Islamic Republic to adopt a passive stance toward the developments occurring in the region and prevent Iran from serving as a model for other countries. The Iranian minister went on to say that the seditious movement and the deviant current are pursuing similar purposes and called on the people to be vigilant not to fall into their traps.
