Envoy: US Absence Brings Tehran-Baghdad Closer To Each Other

Tehran, Jan 2, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to Baghdad Hassan Danaei-fard said on Sunday that withdrawal of US forces from Iraq led to further expansion of relations and cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad. Speaking to IRNA, he said US forces tried to create obstacles and hinder expansion of relations between the two neighboring states but their withdrawal will be to the benefit of both sides. Tehran spares no efforts to broaden economic, political, cultural and social relations between the two countries, he said./end
