Explosion in unfinished building in Baku, injuries reported

Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb.13 By Elchin Mekhtiyev - Trend: A strong explosion occurred in the basement of an unfinished residential building near the Azadlig prospekti subway station in Baku on Feb.13 in the morning, the accident witnesses told Trend. A fire at the scene continues. It caused damage to neighboring buildings, a Trend employee reported from the scene. Two women and one man were injured, Baku City Emergency and Urgent Medical Aid Station told Trend. One woman got a head injury. The injured were passing by the exploding building, according to preliminary data. No deaths are reported. Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situation are working to find the possible injured. Employees of Azerigas Production Association are also at the scene of explosion. An explosion occurred in an unfinished building in Suleyman Sani Akhundov Street, in the eighth micro-district of Baku's Binagadi district, according to the information received by the hotline 112 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said. Brigades of the Ministry of Emergency Situations immediately went into action at the scene. Three persons were injured as a result of the explosion.
