Extended meeting of heads of environmental agencies of Russia and Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek

Bishkek, Nov.12, 2019. /Kabar/. At the invitation of Director of Kyrgyzstan’s State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry (SAEPF) Mirslav Amankulov, the Russian delegation headed by Minister of Natural Resources Dmitry Kobylkin has arrived in Kyrgyzstan for an official working visit. Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek hosted the extended meeting of the environmental agencies of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the SAEPF reported. In his speech, Minister Kobylkin congratulated Amankulov on the national holiday - the Days of History and Commemoration of Ancestors, and thanked him for a warm welcome. “Today's meeting will strengthen our relations and give a new impetus to our mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in the field of environmental protection and forestry," Director Amankulov said. Within the framework of the visit, Russia’s delegation, headed by Minister of Natural Resources Dmitry Kobylkin visited the Muras Kyrgyz-Russian Falcon Breeding Center in Issyk-Kul Oblast. The Center was built in 2016, its total area is 12 hectares. Currently, 130 couples of falcons are kept here. The Russian minister shared his plans and expressed the intention to establish the International Ornithological Center for Reproduction of Rare Disappearing Falcons in Russia in the near future, relying on the experience, practice and personnel of the Muras Center. “The project was presented to President of Russia Vladimir Putin during the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in September this year and received his approval,” emphasized Kobylkin. “I am sure that the new direction of cooperation on the conservation and restoration of the falconry population will significantly strengthen our bilateral cooperation,” Russian Minister Dmitry Kobylkin added. Note that on the near future the International Falconry Center plans to increase the number of falcon couples from Arabia and Europe.
