FM Aidarbekov meets with EU Special Rep for Central Asia Peter Burian

Bishkek, Feb.13, 2020. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov met in Brussels with European Union’s Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian. The meeting took place as part of the Kyrgyz minister’s working visit to EU institutions, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said on Thursday. The sides discussed the state and prospects for strengthening relations between Kyrgyzstan and the EU, including schedules of events for 2020, as well as issues of technical preparation for the signing of the EU and the Kyrgyz Republic Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement. Chingiz Aidarbekov and Peter Burian addressed in detail issues of preparation and holding of the first “European Union-Central Asia: Partnership for Action on Green Economy” Economic Forum, which is scheduled for summer 2020 in Bishkek.
