FM Aidarbekov meets with his Korean counterpart Kang Kyung-wha

Bishkek, Oct.17, 2019 /Kabar/. As part of participation in the 12nd “The Republic of Korea-Central Asia” Cooperation Forum, bilateral meeting of Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov and the Republic of Korea Kang Kyung-wha was held yesterday, Oct.16, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported. The sides noted the first official visit of Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon to Kyrgyzstan on July 17-19 this year gave a new impetus to bilateral cooperation, and discussed further implementation of agreements reached during the visit of the head of the Korean Government. In order to continue the political dialogue, the foreign ministers reached an agreement on the necessity to continue the implementation of the mutual visits at the highest and high levels. Chingiz Aidarbekov highly appreciated the activities of KOICA (the Korea International Cooperation Agency) in the Kyrgyz Republic, stressing that the Agency is implementing a number of important projects in Kyrgyzstan, one of which is the project “My Village”, aimed at the development of regions in the country. Besides, the sides discussed issues across the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation, and noted the need for their further intensification for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
