FM Aidarbekov to take part in CCTS Council of Foreign Ministers in Baku

Bishkek, Oct.14, 2019. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov will take part in the regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS Council of Foreign Ministers), to be held today in Baku (Azerbaijan). In addition to heads of foreign ministries of the CCTS member states, the meeting will also be attended by Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and Hungarian Foreign and Trade Minister Péter Szijjártó. During the meeting the sides will discuss the issue of preparing for the CCTS Council of Heads of State, to be held on Oct. 15. Note that in the year of the Kyrgyz Republic's chairmanship of the Turkic Council, Uzbekistan has joined the Organization as a full member, and CCTS office has been opened in Budapest, which will become the European branch of the Organization. The Turkic Council (or, in full, the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS) is an international organization comprising some of the Turkic countries. It was founded on Oct. 3, 2009 in Nakhchivan. The idea of setting up this cooperative council was first put forward by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev back in 2006.
