FM AND GERMAN AMBASSADOR VISIT MILITARY EXERCISES CENTER

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Mongolia Mr Peter Schaller legged the "Tavan tolgoi" international exercises center. They saw how the Mongolian troops are taught by military instructors from Germany's Bundeswehr (Federal Defense Force). The German are giving lessons on modern military science and peacekeeping operations tactics accorded with the standards of the NATO. This is how the Mongolians are prepared for serving in Afghanistan to protect an international airport in Mazar-i-Sharif city. The Armed Forces of Mongolia have been cooperating with the Bundeswehr since 2006 in peacekeeping operations. In accordance with a contract, established between the Defense Ministries of the countries, 160 Mongolian servicemen will serve for six months in Afghanistan. B.Khuder
