FM CONGRATULATES NEW PRIME MINISTER OF JAPAN

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold has congratulated Mr Shinzo Abe, a chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), on becoming the 96th Prime Minister of Japan. In his congratulatory letter, the FM said that he was satisfied with starting his very first visit from Japan after establishment of the cabinet for reforms and with meeting Mr Shinzo Abe. Mr Bold emphasized big contributions of the LDP and of led by it cabinets to developing the Mongolia-Japan cooperation in accordance with a principle of the comprehensive partnership. "One of the priorities of Mongolia's foreign policy is to deepen the multi-pillar cooperation with Japan. I am confident that I will fruitfully cooperate with the new Prime Minister of Japan Mr Shinzo Abe in realizing this goal," L.Bold said. During a visit of Mongolia's President to Japan in 2007, Mr Shinzo Abe signed the Ten-Year Programme for developing the bilateral comprehensive partnership, being PM of Japan. It is expected that the countries will approve a middle-term programme on implementing the Strategic partnership, graduating from the comprehensive partnership. B.Khuder
