FREIGHT AND PASSENGERS CARRIED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In the first 10 months of 2012, 16, 894.3 thous. tons of freight and 3,365.0 thousand passengers (double counting) were carried by railway transport. Compared to the same period of 2011, the carried freight rose by 1,707.3 thousand tons or 11.2 percent, and a number of carried passengers--by 158.6 thousand persons or 4.9 percent. This increased revenue from the railway by 23.6 billion togrog or 7.3 percent to 347.4 billion togrog. In the first 10 months of 2012, 3,385.4 tons freight and 654.8 thousand passengers (double counting) were carried by air transport. Compared to the same period of the previous year, a volume of the carried freight increased 1,141.8 tons or 50.9 percent, as number of carried passengers--by 178.0 thousand persons or 37.3 percent. Due to this, revenue from the air transport went up by 24.3 billion togrog or 17.6 percent to 162.1 billion togrog. Ch.Enkhtuya
