GEC: DP WON MOST SEATS IN CITY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Head of the General Election Committee (GEC) Ch.Sodnomtseren reported on Monday that the Democratic Party (DP) gained majority of seats in Ulaanbaatar city in the elections of the Citizens' Representative Khural of aimags, soums and the city's districts.
This is results after the re-ballots ran from November 30 through December 1 at 149 electoral committees in accordance with a resolution of the General Election Commission's (GEC) due to incomplete votes given November 21 nationwide.
The Mongolian People's Party (MPP) got seven seats, the Democratic Party (DP)--32 seats, the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP) out of 41 mandates in Bayanzurkh district; the MPP--four seats, the DP--29 seats, the MPRP--two seats out of 35 mandates in Khan-Uul district; the MPP--22 seats, the DP--11 seats, the MPRP--two seats out of 35 mandates in Chingeltei district; the MPP--15 seats, the DP--19 seats, MPRP--one seat out of 35 mandates in Sukhbaatar district; the MPP--nine seats, the DP--30 seats, the MPRP--two seats out of 41 mandates in Bayangol district; the MPP--22 seats, the DP--17 seats, the MPRP--two seats out of 41 mandates in Songinokhairkhan district.
In addition, the MPP gained 18 seats, the DP--11 seats, the "Justice" coalition (Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party and National Democratic Party)--two seats, and independent candidates--two seats out of 33 mandates in Darkhan soum of Darkhan-Uul aimag; and the MPP--10 seats, the DP--19 seats, and the "Civil Justice" coalition (MPRP and Civil Will-Green Party)--two seats out of 31 mandates in several bagas (the smallest administrative unit in localities) in Orkhon aimag.
