Government forces seize war weapons at red-shirt house

BANGKOK, March 18 (TNA) -- Combined government forces early Saturday seized a large amount of war weapons and ammunition during a raid on the house of key red-shirt member Wutthipong Kochthammakun, alias Ko Tee, a spokesman of National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) announced. The surprise raid on the house of ‘Ko Tee’ in Lam Luk Ka district in Bangkok’s neighbouring province of Pathum Thani was launched just before dawn, said the spokesman. The caretaker of the house identified as Thirachai Uttaravichian was taken for interrogation, the spokesman said. ‘Ko Tee’ formerly ran a community radio station in the province. The red-shirt movement is one of the major supporters of the ousted government under prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra, accused of massive corruption and cause of sharp divisiveness in the country.
