Gunmen Burn Two NATO Containers In Pakistan

Islamabad, Sept 8 , IRNA -- Unknown armed men on Friday set ablaze two NATO containers in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, police said. Police sources said that two NATO containers (carrying supplies for ISAF forces) were on their way to Afghanistan from Karachi when they came under attack in Mastung district. The armed men stopped the containers and torched them by sprinkling patrol. The containers were damaged. The gunmen also fired at the containers, however no one was hurt. The gunmen fled after the attack. No group claimed responsibility. Taliban routinely claim responsibility for attacks on NATO trucks. Attacks on NATO trucks are common in Pakistan, the main supply route for nearly 140,000 US-led foreign troops in Afghanistan. Officials say that some 70 percent supplies for NATO forces are transported via Pakistan./end
