I am confident Iran-EU relations would return to normal, says Iranian FM Salehi

TEHRAN (A.A) - February 20, 2012 - Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said Monday that Iran and European countries needed each other and that relations between Iran and the European Union (EU) would return to normal. Minister Salehi touched on Iran's relations with the EU in a speech delivered at a symposium, reported Iran's official news agency IRNA on Monday. The frozen relations between Iran and European countries can not go on like that for a long time. I am confident that Iran-EU relations would return to normal, Salehi noted. European countries and Iran need each other. We complement each other, Salehi underlined. When Turkey becomes an EU member, one of the most important neighbors of the union would be Iran, Salehi said. We consider developing economic relations with all countries as a priority of Iran's foreign policy. Relations with neighboring countries are evaluated within this frame, Salehi added.
