I will devote special attention to economic and commercial dimension in UAE, says President Gul

ANKARA (A.A) - January 29, 2012 - Turkish President Abdullah Gul said Sunday that he would devote special attention to the economic and commercial dimension during his current trip in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Speaking to reporters at Ankara's Esenboga International Airport prior to his departure for the UAE, President Gul said that more than 100 Turkish businesspeople accompanying him in his visit to the UAE were an indication of the interest in this "brotherly" country and the great potential that exists between the two countries. My visit to the UAE, at a time of important developments both in the region and the world, will be an opportunity to show Turkey's support to the security of the UAE and the gulf region, Gul stressed. The special relations between the two rising stars of the region will help us look at the future together with hope, Gul also said. President Gul will be in the UAE between January 29 and February 1 at an invitation by President Khalifa bin Zayid Al Nuhayyan. Gul's visit to the UAE will be the first one by a Turkish president in 15 years. Gul will hold talks in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai. President Gul and Nuhayyan will discuss bilateral relations and regional as well as international issues in Abu Dhabi. In Dubai, Gul will address the Turkey-UAE Business Forum.
