INDUSTRIES TO BE DEVELOPED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting on Saturday discussed some measures to be taken in frames of the New Era of Industry. The cabinet for reforms has some goals to develop industries in frames of its 2012-2016 action programme. The New Era of Industry was announced last month in the Government House under auspices of the Prime Minister, and a programme was introduced to be implemented in five sectors. At the cabinet meeting, a working group was set up responsible for working out draft laws and policy on developing the manufacturing industries, for releasing a list of draft projects, for introducing directions of the factories that should be newly established or expanded. An obligation was given to several Ministers to present the working group's proposals to the cabinet in the fourth quarter of this year. Since the announcement of the New Era of Industry, the Minister of Industry and Agriculture and the private sector have co-organized some meetings in order to solve urgent problems and to make effective steps. The Ministry has reached agreements with metallurgy, cashmere, leather, wood, printing, chemistry, foods and construction materials' industries on determining projects to be implemented in the first turn.
