International investigation cancelled for 24 political refugees in Georgia

Georgia, Tbilisi, Jan. 21 / Trend N.Kirtskhalia / An international investigation for 24 people out of 25 on a list of political refugees has been cancelled in Georgia. The court could not grant the request of prosecutor's office in regard to Gela Archvadze due to a technical error, a wrong way of spelling his name. Gela Archvadze was mentioned as Gennady in the parliamentary decree and the court failed to consider his case due to this inaccuracy. Certain problems exist with respect to political refugees Kibar Khalvashi, Mikheil Kareli, Giorgi Kadagishvili, Bidzina Giorgobiani and six other political refugees. According to the head of the prosecutorial department Kakhaber Tsereteli, those who were granted the status of political refugee will be excluded from the list of wanted persons in the CIS in four or five days.
