Iran Can Bring Stability In World : Pakistani Educationist

Islamabad, Oct 4, IRNA – A top Pakistani educationist said here Wednesday Iran being rotating president of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) can lead the world towards path of prosperity and stability. Talking to IRNA Lubna Abid Ali, Director of the Department of International Relations at Quaid-i-Azam University, said that Iran has always taken a principled stance on world issues and has proved to the world that it cannot be pressurized. The scholar said that the American-installed leaders of some Muslim countries are not representing the sentiments of their oppressed peoples. She added that Iran, after the Islamic Revolution, has become a very powerful country in the region. “The Islamic Revolution is a source of inspiration for many countries in the world,” she opined. The analyst was of the view that Iranian leaders have shown to the world that they can survive with dignity despite sanctions. “Iran has become a role model for the oppressed states of the world,” said the analyst. The intellectual added that Iran has followed the path of justice. “Iran has always raised strong voice for the oppressed people of Palestine and Lebanon,” the educationist added. Lubna Abid Ali expressing her views said that Iran truly reflects the objective of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). “NAM was created to counter the influence of western powers in the world,” said the analyst. She said that successful summit of NAM in Iran shows that the non-aligned world is well-allied with Iran. The intellectual went on to say that Iran is progressing in all fields despite western sanctions which is a great achievement. She also praised the speech of the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at UN General Assembly adding that the president of the Islamic Republic reflected sentiments of oppressed Muslim nations. Talking about the situation of Syria she said that a conspiracy is being hatched in the Arab state in a bid to weaken the revolutionary Iran. The analyst said that terrorist elements are being helped against the central government in the course of a clandestine plot. Lubna Abid Ali said that Syrian government should follow the footsteps of Iran and resist all kinds of western moves. The scholar said that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has unfortunately become ineffective. She added that many member states of the OIC are shamelessly pursuing western agendas precisely. “We have to take a strong unified stand against the western anti-Islam moves,” she further stressed. She asked the Muslims to shun their differences and fight against their common enemy.
