Iran Critical Of EU Wrong Policy, Hopes Bloc To Mend Ties

Stockholm, March 7, IRNA -- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and American Affairs Ali Asghar Khaji on Tuesday criticized the European Union for wrong policy which created stumbling block in the way of a successful nuclear talks.
He made the remarks in a meeting with his Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt in Stockholm.
Khaji exchange views with Bildt on the latest developments in mutual ties and some other issues of mutual interests.
Pointing to the records of Iran nuclear negotiations, he expressed hope Western governments would adopt new approach to Iran based on reality, initiative and renovation of past policies.
Bildt welcomed consultations between the two countries foreign policy officials and said that confidence-building between Iran and European Union is a necessary means for a successful talks.
In his two-day stay in Stockholm, Khaji met with Swedish Parliament's First Deputy Speaker./end
