Iran FM-Arab League Chief Discuss Regional Issues

New York, Sept 24, IRNA – Foreign Minister of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi and Arab League Chief Nabil Elaraby held talks here Sunday afternoon on regional developments, the Syrian issue in particular. The two sides called for continuation of talks on Syria and underlined the need for further coordination in line with settlement of the Syrian crisis. Elaraby, for his part, described Iran as an important regional country as well as the current president of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). He underscored the need to continue talks with Tehran on regional developments./end
