Iran FM Describes Zionist Regimeˈs Attack On Syria As Playing With Fire

Tehran, May 7, IRNA – Iran Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi here Monday condemned the recent Zionist regimeˈs attack on Syria, describing it as playing with fire. Salehi made the remarks in a meeting with his visiting Turkmen counterpart Rashid Meredov. Warning against the spread of extremism in the world, particularly in the region, Salehi said the terrorist extremist groups, supported by certain powers, are not loyal to any principles. Regarding Tehran-Ashkhabad friendly relations, Salehi said the upcoming launch of Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan railroad will bring a bright future to the region. Salehi further expressed hope that bilateral talks would be fruitful for the two nations. Salehi and Meredov then reviewed the latest developments in bilateral ties. Meredov, too, termed international terrorism as a threat to all regional countries, saying that extremists have targeted stability in the region./end
