Iran has not sent any message to U.S.: Iranian Majlis speaker

TEHRAN,Jan.16 (MNA)-- Iran`s Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani dismissed U.S. officials’ claim that they recently received a message from Iranian officials, saying that was a figment of their imagination. U.S. State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland, during a news briefing on January 7, said that the United States has started consultations with Turkey on what Iran’s messages were during Davutoglu’s visit to Tehran. Nuland said, “We have seen some of the announcements, primarily from the Iranian side, of the results of Davutoglu’s visit. We have begun consultations with the Turkish side on what Iran’s messages were,” turkishny.com reported. “Our ambassador in Ankara was in to see Minister Davutoglu today (January 7). I frankly don’t have a report on that meeting, but one of the subjects that they were discussing was a debrief on this trip,” she added. Larijani said, “If the Americans imagined something, or Turkish friends told them something that they (U.S. officials) thought was a message, they have misunderstood it.” No message has been sent to U.S. officials, he added.
