Iran-Iraq Ties Hinder Common Enemies’ Plots: Official

Tehran, March 8, IRNA – Iran and Iraq vice presidents stressed that solid relations between the two nations will stop their common enemies from achieving their objectives. The Iranian Vice President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou and his Iraqi counterpart Khazir Khazaei here on Wednesday reviewed the existing potentials in the two countries and called for promoting mutual cooperation in energy, oil and other infrastructure sectors. They also stressed that cooperation between the two governments in political and economic areas would benefit both nations, the whole region and the entire world. Saeedlou further praised withdrawal of alien forces from the Iraqi soil and voiced Iran’s readiness to participate in reconstruction operation of the country.
