Iran Minister-Senegal President Confer In Kuwait

Tehran, Nov 21, IRNA – Visiting Minister of Economy and Finance Ali Tayebnia held talks with Senegalese President Macky Sall on issues of mutual interests in Kuwait City on Wednesday. The meeting was held on the sideline of the third Arab-African Summit in Kuwait which opened in Kuwait City on November 19, 2013. The two-day event will wrap up on Wednesday. Tayebnia said the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to foster mutual economic cooperation and implement the previous agreements reached between Iran and Senegal. Welcoming the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors is an indication to the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities, he added. Sall, for his part, underlined that all countries, including Iran, have inalienable right to pursue peaceful nuclear activities. The Senegalese president also condemned the terrorist bombings near the Iranian embassy in Lebanon and condoled family members of the Iranian cultural attaché Ebrahim Ansari who attained martyrdom during the Beirut blasts./end
