Iran Plan, Most Peaceful Solution To Syria Problem - Mehmanparast

Tehran, Dec 18, IRNA – Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday described Iran's six-point plan as the most peaceful and appropriate solution to the Syrian crisis. Talking to reporters at his weekly press conference, Ramin Mehmanparast said the plan will bring about peace to that country and meet the people's demands. Iran's stand on Syria is fully clear and transparent, he reiterated. The Syrian people should be allowed to decide about their political future by participating in a free election, said Mehmanparast. Any move in line with expansion of war, fanning the flames of internal conflicts, dispatching weapons to Syria and doing terrorist operations will only endanger lives of innocent people in that country, he added. He further advised regional and extra-regional states as well as influential countries to help halt conflicts in Syria and prepare the ground for holding national talks in that country./end
