Iran, Shining Example Of Brave, Wonderful Nation: Pakistan Lawmaker

Islamabad, June 19, IRNA - A Pakistani Senator said on Tuesday said that Iran is a shining example of brave and wonderful nation in the world. Talking to IRNA Senator Col (R) Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) congratulated the President-elect of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rohani on his election win. “I congratulate Hassan Rohani on behalf of people of Pakistan and my party Muttahida Qaumi Movement,” he said. The political leader said that messages of felicitations to the President-elect from the world shows that Iran is a powerful state and different countries are interested in having strong relations with Tehran. He added that Iran has taught the democratic system to the world by holding democratic elections. The Senator expressing his views said that Iran is not only a country but an ideology. “Iran is an excellent example of resistance to western dominance and a highly respected nation,” added the politician. He added that Iran is a trend setter and different countries of the world are looking towards Iran. “Irrespective of the western treatment Iran is a united nation,” he said. Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi added that is a shining example of brave and wonderful nation in the world. He strongly condemned the injustice and policy of double standards of West towards Iran. The lawmaker said that western countries must accept Iran’s basic right towards peaceful nuclear technology. “He said that Iran is an independent country and no one can stop Iran from developing its nuclear program for peaceful purposes,” he noted. The politician asked western countries to quit the policy of double standards and change their attitude towards Iran. He hailed the statement of Iran’s newly-elected president Hassan Rohani that Iran would continue to develop strong relations with neighbors and regional states. The parliamentarian said that Iran holds an important position in the region and strong relations with the Islamic Republic is in the interest of regional states. He said that future of Iran under the presidency of Hassan Rohani is very bright. He prayed for the stability and prosperity of Iran./end
