Iran to stand against West bullying in JCPOA implementation: Speaker

Tehran, IRNA – In case the West wants to avoid implementing its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal, the Islamic Republic will not allow them to pursue excessive demands, Iran’s parliament speaker warned. Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf wrote on his Twitter account on Friday: If the West wants to refuse complying with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), we will not allow them to seek excessive demands. We showed, if they respect frameworks, we will respect too; Qalibaf wrote, adding that we hope the Western side accepts Iranian nation’s demands in the negotiations. Earlier, Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amirabdollahian pointed to the good faith and seriousness of the Islamic Republic in achieving a good and long-lasting consensus, underlining that after receiving the United States’ comments, we would enter a new phase in the Vienna talks, if we are convinced that Iran’s economic interests as well as its red lines are being observed. The minister also underscored that we cannot speak about reaching a good and stable agreement certainly, until all remaining issues are being agreed upon. Follow us on Twitter @IrnaEnglish
