Iranian enovy pushes for release of Iran’s kidnapped technicians in Syria

TEHRAN, Jan.7 (MNA) – Tehran’s Ambassador to Damascus, Mohammadreza Sheibani, renewed Iran’s call on the Syrian government to try to gain the release of the Iranian engineers and technicians who were abducted in the Syrian city of Homs in December last year. In a meeting with Syrian Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Abrash in Damascus on Friday, Sheibani also expressed his views about the current developments in Syria. In the meeting, Mahmoud al-Abrash pointed to the implementation of the branch and root reforms in Syria and the way the Syrian president's instructions are being implemented. Both sides also exchanged views regarding the grounds for parliamentary cooperation in the region to help Syria manage and survive its current crisis.
