Iranian FM meets Egyptian cultural, media delegation

TEHRAN, April 18 (MNA) – A number of Egyptian media and cultural intellectuals held a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi in Tehran late on Monday. During the meeting, Salehi commented on the relationship between Tehran and Cairo, saying that interaction between Iranian and Egyptian media delegations can help open a new chapter in the relations. He also described Iran and Egypt as two “great” countries that are bound by cultural and historical ties. In reply to a question about the prospects of relations between the two countries, Salehi said that he is hopeful that the ties will be strengthened in light of the developments that have taken place in Egypt.
