Iranian foreign minister attends OIC meeting on Syria in Jeddah

TEHRAN,Dec. 1(MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi attended the emergency meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which was held on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing developments in Syria. According to Reuters, the head of the OIC, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, said during the meeting that the world’s largest Islamic body will try to resolve the political crisis in Syria internally and oppose moves to take the issue to the international community. Ihsanoglu called for a halt to bloodshed and implementation of political reforms that meets the aspiration of the Syrian people, the Kuwait News Agency reported
