Iranian lookouts equipped with advanced shoulder-fired launchers

TEHRAN, Nov. 21 (MNA) – Iranian air defense units’ lookouts have been equipped with advanced shoulder-fired rocket launchers, enabling them to shoot down hostile aircraft, a report said . According to the report, during the second stage of an aerial war game in east Iran on Saturday, lookouts carried out a combat operation, in which they were engaged in mock battles with hostile unmanned aerial vehicles. In the operation, armed lookouts detected hostile UAVs and reported their location to the air defense command and targeted UAEs after receiving permission from the command post. The aerial war game is being carried out to enhance Iran’s air defense. During the second stage of the exercise, air defense units were also stationed in designated locations, and the military forces conducted electronic warfare drills. The military forces countered the jamming attacks of the mock enemy and also practiced various tactics for attacking mock enemy targets utilizing radar.
