Iranian Majlis speaker congratulates new speakers of Japan, UAE

TEHRAN, Nov. 23 (MNA) – Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani issued separate messages on Tuesday, congratulating the new speaker of House of Councilors of Japan, Kenji Hirata, and the new Speaker of the UAE’s Federal National Council Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mur on their election. In his messages, Larijani pointed to historical affinities shared by Iran and the countries and wrote that Iranian Majlis is keen to cement parliamentary ties with the countries.
