Iran's Larijani Back Home From Indonesia

Tehran, Feb 1, IRNA – Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani, who was in Indonesia to attend the 7th Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union meeting, returned home. Larijani and his accompanying delegation, who returned home on Tuesday evening, told reporters at the airport that many representatives from Islamic countries attended the meeting and several sensitive issues like Palestine and the Zionist regime and its constant invasion of Palestine were discussed in the gathering. He said that Iran became member of executive, political and cultural committees of the IIPU. Larijani said that the issue of Islamic world had good news coverage. 'On the sidelines of the meeting', Larijani said, 'we had discussion with a number of representatives from other Islamic parliaments, including Turkey.' He added that the 7th meeting of IIPU had more useful achievements than former ones./end
