Iran's Supreme Leader: All of country's elections free and fair

Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 8 /Trend S.Isayev, D. Khatinoglu/
Iran's Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei today spoke of country's elections, noting that since the Islamic revolution, Iran did not have any problems with elections, IRNA reported.
"All of 34 elections in Iran, both parliamentary and presidential, were free and fair, ever since the Islamic Revolution in 1979," Khamenei said.
The Supreme Leader called on some people in the country to avoid making provocative statements in the face of upcoming presidential elections in the country.
Iranians will choose their seventh president to succeed Ahmadinejad in the next year's election, which is scheduled for June 14, 2013.
The voters will select the successor of current president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is not able to participate in the elections for the third straight time due to country's constitutional laws.
The main opponents at the presidential elections in Iran are reformists and conservatives.
