Iraqi Envoy: Baghdad, Suitable Venue For Iran-G5+1 Talks

Tehran, April 23, IRNA – Iraq’s Ambassador to Tehran Mohammad Majid al-Sheikh said on Sunday that Baghdad is a suitable venue for the upcoming talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and G5+1. Speaking to IRNA, he said the current visit of the Iraqi Premier Nuri al-Malik to Tehran would leave positive impacts on expansion of friendly relations between the two countries. During the visit, Iran-Iraq joint economic commission would meet and some important MoUs would be signed by two sides, he said. Relations between the two countries are now developing and their prospects are promising, he said. The Iraqi prime minster arrived in Tehran on Sunday on a two-day state visit. During talks with Iranian officials, the two sides would discus issues of mutual interests along with regional and international developments./end
