Jalili Acknowledges Heavyweight Of Resistance In Regional Balance

Tehran, Feb 28, IRNA -- Iran's Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili on Monday acknowledged heavyweight of resistance to Israeli occupation in the Middle East power balance. He made the remarks in a meeting with Lebanese Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn in Tehran. Thanks to the powerful role of Lebanon, the regional balance has undergone a change to the benefit of resistance to Israeli occupation, Jalili said. Jalili said that Lebanon has played a brilliant role in line with resistance to Israeli occupation and struggle of the Palestinian people to end Israeli occupation. High morale and capability of Lebanese nation which supporting the resistance movement turned to the first-ever victory of an Arab state in fight with the Zionist regime, Jalili said. The Lebanese defense minister said for his part that the Lebanese people and its army are determined to fully back the resistance. Global arrogance considers the resistance as a thorn in its eyes and is to confront with it under any circumstances, said the Lebanese minister./end
