Japan Urged to Mind Its Poor Human Rights Performance
Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, a UN human rights expert on the basis of survey urged Japan to ban sexual abuses against the minors.
Meanwhile, the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women expressed concern over the ceaseless distinction between the sexes of minorities including emigrant women in Japan, strongly demanding it take a legal measure to eliminate discrimination.
Rodong Sinmun Friday observes in a commentary in this regard:
This proves that the international community is going to disallow sexual abuses in Japan any longer.
What is more serious is that the sexual abuses in Japan have been committed at the tacit connivance of the authorities.
The abominable human rights abuses and discrimination against women have long been rampant in the society of Japan.
Explicitly speaking, Japan is not entitled to talk about others' "human rights issue."
Japan should pay heed to its poor human rights performance sparking off concerns of the international community. This is an urgent issue facing the Japanese authorities. -0-
