Japanese Militarists' Visit to Yasukuni Shrine Assailed

Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, incumbent Japanese Cabinet ministers and at least 90 dietmen belonging to the "Association of Dietmen for Visiting Yasukuni Shrine", an ultra-rightist organization, flocked to Yasukuni Shrine to burn incense and call back the departed soul of militarism. Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Sunday says that the aim sought by the Japanese politicians in visiting the shrine is to paint the war criminals as "patriots" and create a social atmosphere of reinvasion by instilling the militarist idea into the Japanese people, not the guilty conscience about the past history. The commentary goes on: The Japanese reactionaries are trying to bring back the days when they invaded Asia at will, trumpeting about the "Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere" in the past century. Japan's reinvasion of Asia is just a matter of time. Its first target is the DPRK. Japan tries to invade the DPRK just as it did in past century and advance toward the continent with the DPRK as stepping-stone. But Japan is mistaken. If Japanese reactionaries dare invade the DPRK, misjudging the reality, the army of the DPRK will blast the stronghold of invasion, Japan, in a moment. The DPRK warns once again.
