Jeenbekov, Lukashenko discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues

Bishkek, Nov.28, 2019. /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov on Thursday, Nov.28 met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, his press service said. The meeting of the two leaders took place as part of the regular session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), to be held today in Bishkek under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan. Jeenbekov and Lukashenko discussed topical issues of bilateral as well as multilateral cooperation. The sides expressed their mutual readiness to expand trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the countries. The Collective Security Treaty Organization is an international organization whose goal is to strengthen peace, international and regional security and stability. Leaders of the Organization's member states- Russia's Vladimir Putin, Armenia's- Nikol Pashinyan, Kazakhstan's -Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Tajikistan's Emomali Rahmon, have already arrived in Kyrgyzstan. During the session, an exchange of views on international and regional security within the framework of the CSTO will take place. The agenda consists of 21 items. The main political document will be the statement of the Collective Security Council of the CSTO on improving international cooperation and cooperation in order to strengthen global and regional security, which was put forward on the initiative of Kyrgyzstan.
