Jonsung Revolutionary Museum Marks 60th Founding Anniversary

Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- The Jonsung Revolutionary Museum marked its 60th founding anniversary. The museum is associated with the exploits of President Kim Il Sung who led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory and unfolded the blueprint for postwar reconstruction in the flames of war. The President visited the museum on Mar. 9, Juche 76 (1987) and gave instructions on preserving and taking good care of the historic sites, while ascertaining historic data. Chairman Kim Jong Il visited it 13 times and saw to it that the historic tunnel was restored to its former glory and the records of revolutionary activities of the President were found out without omission, calling for arranging the visit to the museum well. The museum has fulfilled its mission to arm the Party members and working people with the revolutionary tradition of the Workers' Party of Korea in a responsible manner for the past 60 years since it was founded on Mar. 5 1959. A meeting marking its founding anniversary was held on Monday. -0-
