KCNA Commentary Slams Reckless Remarks of Commander-in-Chief of U.S. Forces in Pacific
Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, the commander-in-chief of the U.S. Forces in the Pacific blustered that the best way of deterring the DPRK from developing nukes and missiles for striking the U.S. is to maintain strong combat capability and boost the ties with its allies.
The "threats" much touted by the U.S. is nothing but an excuse to justify its hostile policy towards the DPRK and strategy for Asian domination and they are, in actuality, a product of a foolish intention to contain the potential rivals in the Asia-Pacific region and save the U.S. from its decline by beefing up its military forces and forming a military nexus for aggression, pursuant to the pivot to Asia-Pacific strategy.
These hegemonic moves of the U.S. cannot but trigger off strong opposition and vigilance of the international community as they usher in the era of new worldwide confrontation and arms race.
The U.S. is now finding itself in pretty fix due to its excessive spending of funds for war, vulnerable economic structure and the world trend of multi-polarization. It seeks a way out of it in establishing domination over the Asia-Pacific region which has rich resources and vast markets and gets strategically more important.
This goes to prove that "north Korea's threats" are nothing but sophism reeled off by the U.S. to justify the military moves to contain the powers in the Asia-Pacific and get rid of its quagmire.
No matter how frequently the U.S. cites "north Korea's threats" it can never conceal its hypocritical and criminal nature.
The U.S. should stop trumpeting about "north Korea's threats" and halt unreasonable military actions threatening the DPRK and regional countries. -0-
