Khalifa receives Yemeni President, discusses bilateral ties

Abu Dhabi, Nov 12, 2012 (WAM) - President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received yesterday at the Al Dhiyafa-Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi, the Yemeni President, Abdu Rabbo Mansour Hadi. Arriving at the palace accompanied by the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the visiting President was accorded an official ceremonial reception. The two presidents walked up to the dais as a band played the Yemeni national anthem, following which the Artillery Regiment fired a 21-gun salute to the country's guest. Later the two Presidents inspected the guard of honour lined up in the courtyard of the palace. The President then accompanied the Yemeni Head of State to the Union Hall at the Palace, where the latter shook hands with Sheikhs, ministers and senior officials, as well as with commissioned and non-commissioned officers who had arrived to welcome him.
